About Corporate Universal

Starting as Imperial Universal Corp in June 2003 and later rebuilt into Corporate Universal in August on that same year, the team turned the guild from a small Naboo collective of friends into a well built Imperial machine with members and friends from all over. From the start -CU- has always been a group based on friendship and our members are a very close knit group. As one of the oldest Imperial guilds on the Eclipse server of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided we have a lot of history in this game, a lot of events planned and executed, a tremendous amount of battles against the Rebellion and a great sense of pride for all we have accomplished.

In 2003 Corporate Universal's members built a makeshift city in the farthest corner of Naboo, down to where Nu'maoi is there today. This is where most of -CU-'s early members would settle until player cities were introduced into the game a few months later. After scouting a few locations, Lok was chosen to be our first city location and Semper Fidelis was born only a little ways from the city of Fortress. After several months various cities across Lok would grow including Semper Fidelis, but instead of placing ourselves on the map we decided to keep the city hidden from the public. Only the guild and a few select Imperial guilds knew of the city's secret location.

As 2003 began to come to a close war broke out across the planet. After several months of direct war Semper Fidelis was open to the public as it held the only remaining Imperial bases after the sieges of late 2003. The Galactic Civil War stretched all across the planet's surface and affecting every factional guild that not only included our members but also members of various guilds such as Guardians of Lok at Purgatory, Empire Elite Forces at Fortress, the Black Hand at New Citadel, New Republic Navy at New Hope and many other Imperial and Rebel cities from Sentinel City to Ratava to Garrison. 2004 would be known as the year of war as battles raged across the planet from one south to east, north to west. After 2004 was completed, Semper Fidelis had seen over 400 separate attacks on its doorstep, dozens of rebel guilds attempt to take its bases and only had lost 3 bases in that time period.

Proud of its Imperial war record, Corporate Universal members made 2005 a year of PvE, events and content. Straying from the calmer war environment and lighter PvP that was taking place around late 2004, -CU- membership launched three well planned live events with the help of developers and community representatives. It's best known event, Corsair Attack, the city had over 180 Imperial players participate and lasted over two hours of constant pirates and battle droids landing from corvettes and transports to take over Semper Fidelis. Other events consisted of a Dark Jedi enclave cave network spawned underneath the city that had to be destroyed, as well as an attack at the Corsair Stronghold taking on numerous super battle droids.

Besides live events Corporate Universal members were involved in many other community events from planning weddings, PvP and PvE battles, celebrations in cities, various entertainer events and some role playing events as well. Complimenting these, weekly runs at various NPC content such as the Death Watch Bunker, Corvette Runs, Geo Caves, Nightsisters and many other locations were the focus for much of the guilds time. By the spring of 2005, some of Corporate Universal's membership also got back into the Galactic Civil War into more of a support role. Known for team work, planning and being able to gather information on enemy locations, members helped plan direct attacks against the Rebel Alliance. Base raids were common and among the guild's various base teams, over 800 bases were destroyed from the Rebellion in just a matter of months, the highest base count then any other guild in any of the two factions.

Through much of 2006 Corporate Universal was a slightly lighter and more flexible guild then times past after the New Game Enhancements changed the game in November of 2005 and affected the game dramatically. Despite these changes, members continue on with the Star Wars adventure, building and planning, doing battle and continuing with both PvE and PvP content where they can. 2006 came to a close with many interesting events, learning experiences and a few new members. In 2007 Corporate Universal created a small branch on Sunrunner to expand its PvP horizons. This branch is now known as MERC, or Blackwater Corporation, a subcompany of Corporate Universal for the Rebel faction. As 2007 comes to a close, we are awaiting new promised content for Star Wars Galaxies, and ready to launch into the future with high hopes and imagination.
